About The Pro Hockey Group
The Pro Hockey Group was founded by former NHL Scouting Director Jason Bukala during the pandemic in 2020. TPHG has experienced scouts and data analysts embedded throughout the world providing feedback on players ranging from draft eligible, previously drafted, free agents and pros.
The Pro Hockey Group contributes, throughout the year, to special events and studio segments with the NHL Network. Bukala’s primary responsibility at the NHL Network revolves around entry draft and prospect analysis.

Bukala
Jason Bukala, a veteran NHL scout, started his career with the Nashville Predators and later served as Director of Amateur Scouting for the Florida Panthers. He has scouted thousands of games in North America and Europe, including in Canada, the USA, Finland, Sweden, and more.
Bukala is also a TV and radio analyst for Sportsnet, appearing on shows like Hockey Central, NHL Trade Deadline, NHL Free Agency, and NHL Entry Draft. He regularly contributes to the NHL Network, specializing in entry draft and prospect analysis.
