Continues to impact the game in relation to his element.
Plays quick, fast, competitive style
Leans offense. Lethal on the PP with back door one timer.
Has recently shown more detail off the puck. His exits are better timed. He doesn't waste time tracking back when his team is defending.
Element is offense. The rest of his game is evolving without taking away production.

The kind of player that NEVER goes away
Always engaged. Plays with an edge. Disrupts plays. Finishes his checks.
Goes to the hard areas and battles.
In addition to his relentless approach he has scoring upside.
At worst he is a middle six forward who can take a RS , PK, and be deployed on 2nd PP
A throwback 'Rat' style of player.

'22-'23Edmonton Oilers---

Excellent start to 21/22 season came off the rails mid-season due to lack of confidence and injuries. Rebounded well and had a better than average end to the season and playoffs.
Has yet to establish himself as the kind of #1 NHL goalie who can play 60 plus games.
He does have the ability to steal a game on occasion. At his best when eating pucks and controlling rebounds. Average playing the puck. Crease composure and positioning is generally sound when he is on his game. Mental makeup is a concern. Butterfly style.
Second stop quickness is slightly above average. He does battle.
A #1B more than a true #1.
Better suited to play 45-50 games than 50+ games.

'22-'23Calgary Flames-------

Has proven he can log big minutes in both regular season and playoffs. His AVG TOI has ranged from 20:00 - 25:00 depending on game scenarios. His 8g-36a-44pts is even more impressive considering he only scored 1g-2a on the PP. A competitive defender who isn't shy about getting involved physically. Never backs down from a challenge. Over his first 5 full years in the NHL he's an impressive (+77) GF/GA. Ability to play his off-side is a bonus. At times he could keep things more simple with outlets. A high end #3 / Capable #2.
